Twitter has basically exploded over the past month. I mean, everyone and their brother, literally, has joined up. Looks like the growing pains have got to the micro-blogging firm, as service has been spotty the past few days. But this is to be expected. I mean, who could have predicted this kind of exponential growth and scaled accordingly?
But what makes me laugh is the fact that Twitter outages brings the old question “If a tree falls in the forest and no one is there to hear it, does it make a sound?” into the modern age.
Seriously, in a world of near-constant status updates and everyone telling everyone what is happening – how will people let the world know that twitter is having hiccups?
I guess people will – sigh – resort to writing in their laborious old blogs to get the message out….
